Photography has been a favorite hobby of mine ever since my Mom got me my first camera, a Kodak Brownie, when I was in the 7th grade. I would get butterflies going to pick up the prints at the local Rexall drug store. Twenty-eight years ago my husband bought me my first 35 millimeter and I thought I was in heaven - the pictures were so clear and I could make great enlargements, 20 x 30's being my favorite size. When the grandchildren came along, they were in poster size all over the living room walls and threatening to go to the ceiling next! The next great improvement came with digital when our son bought me a Canon Rebel six years ago. That, along with new computer programs and a great printer has tremendously increased the number, quality, and style of images I am able to create.

For the past thirty years I have been legal assistant and "seeing-eye" wife to my amazing real estate attorney husband. He lost nearly all his eyesight when he was nine years old from ricochet bird shot while he was out hunting rabbits with his Grandpaw. I was one of his readers while he was in law school and as he says I did such a good job that he "hired" me permanently. One of our real estate colleagues thinks it's ironic that I am not only my husband's "eyes", but also have such a good "eye" for photography.

My greatest joy has come from experiencing people's positive reactions to my work. I feel so blessed that people find something special in my images that can sometimes cause them to laugh, cry, or give me a big hug. If I have any talent here, it has all come from God, so I want to share it and give God the glory for it! There is so much beauty in the world, it could never all be captured.
